  • An abstract representation of the theory that not everything in life is black and white. The beauty of this painting is that it can be hung in any direction you prefer. The black and grey stripes are painted with acrylic, the white stripe was painted with emulsion, then a layer of acrylic was painted over that. The middle section, which has a lovely marble-effect to it, was painted using metallic black and metallic golden lilac mixed together on the canvas with a palette knife. The edges are also painted so that the pattern continues on both sides. This painting is now owned by fellow artist Rob Kirbyson.
